Può una dieta senza glutine ridurre i sintomi dell’endometriosi? (Parte 1)

¿Puede una dieta sin gluten reducir los síntomas de la endometriosis? (Parte 1)

Endometriosis occurs when the cells of the inner wall of the uterus (endometrium) move away from their original position and migrate, mostly into the abdominal cavity, still responding to hormonal control, even during the menstrual cycle.

The most common symptoms include pelvic pain, particularly in the peri-menstrual phase; painful menstruation; pain during sexual intercourse, exacerbated in the pre- and post-menstrual periods; menstrual cycle irregularities, severe intestinal issues, and infertility.

In a 2012 study, which followed patients with endometriosis for 12 months, it showed that 75% of them reported a significant reduction in symptoms with a gluten-free diet; 25% reported no worsening of symptoms. None had experienced a worsening of symptoms.
