Its origin dates back to 8,000 years ago, when it grew spontaneously in Tibet, Siberia and Manchuria. Subsequently the Tartars introduced it in the Balkans and from here it spread throughout Europe. The name Grano Saraceno (the wheat of the Turks and Saracens) is a clear tribute to its Turkish-Mongolian origins. It is excellent for the preparation of all types of baked goods, also suitable for those who prefer cereals other than wheat. Ideal for the preparation of savory and sweet products such as bread, pizzas, puff pastry, crepes, fresh pasta, cakes, biscuits, even mixed with other flours.
